#Marker Privacy Policy
A markdown renderer, not a data collector.
Overview
#Marker is a markdown renderer for macOS and iOS, developed by Axenvoy Inc. It is designed to work entirely on your device.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind.
Data We Collect
None.
File Access
#Marker only accesses files you explicitly open. It does not scan directories, monitor folders, or read files in the background.
The app runs in Apple's sandbox with user-selected file access only. Your documents never leave your device through us.
Network Activity
#Marker makes one type of network request: loading images referenced in your markdown files.
When your document contains an image link (e.g. ), the app fetches that image to display it inline. These requests go directly to whatever server hosts the image—we never see or proxy them.
This means:
- The image host will receive a standard HTTP request from your device
- Your IP address is visible to the image host, as with any web request
- If a document contains a tracking pixel disguised as an image, it will be loaded
There are no other network requests. No analytics pings, no update checks, no data sent to Axenvoy or any third party.
Third-Party Services
None. #Marker uses Apple's Swift Markdown library for parsing. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking frameworks.
Cloud Sync
None. #Marker does not use iCloud, CloudKit, or any cloud storage. If you save a file to iCloud Drive, that's between you and Apple—we have no involvement.
